Protecting our planet is a responsibility we take seriously. We engage members, youth, and local communities in tree-planting activities, waste management drives, coastal and river clean-ups, and environmental education to build a culture of stewardship for future generations.

Joint Tree Planting Project in Vigan City

January 26, 2026Vigan City Ilocos Sur Vigan City, Ilocos Region, Philippines

On July 26, 2026, the Rotary Club of San Juan and sister club RC Vigan joined forces with RC Bolinao, RC Central Pampanga, RC Health Keepers, RC Urdaneta, and RC Baguio South for a massive Joint Tree Planting Project in the historic lands of Vigan, Ilocos Sur. To promote environmental sustainability, combat climate change, and foster deep fellowship among multiple Rotary clubs under the shared call to action: "Create Lasting Impact." This project directly benefits over 100+ participating Rotary volunteers through shared service. Indirectly, it benefits thousands of local Vigan residents (5,000+) and future generations who will enjoy a healthier ecosystem and the shade of the grown trees.

Donation & Installation of Solar Lights

December 5, 2025Suyo Ilocos Sur Suyo, Ilocos Region, Philippines

District 3790 Governor Dan Torres thru its special project chair for solar lights cp Roger Santos donated today 20 2,500 watts solar lamps while ilocos sur governor Jerry Singson donated 20 lamp posts to complete the project. The said project in Suyo, Ilocos sur was carried out by cluster 1A led by AG Ernanie Pasimio and presidents Benjie Buen of RC Vigan Ilocos Sur, Richard Gomez of rc narvacan, IPP Charles from rc health keepers and PP jen rojo of rc magsingal north. Mayor Mario Subagan of Suyo in his speech stressed his overwhelming salute to rotarians for living up to their promise to his municipality of delivering 20 solar lamps as swiftly as they can, many of whom failed the good mayor in the past with their promises, but not rotarians. Today, Cluster 1A presidents present with AG Nanie and Cp Roger representing the district governor once again proved that ROTARIANS ARE PEOPLE OF ACTION, NOT OF FAILED PROMISES. TOGETHER, WE UNITE FOR GOOD!
